Description: Point feature class representing different water distribution features along the Chatham County Public Works water mains. The features include different kinds of valves, hydrants, meters, manholes, and plugs. The date of last update and accuracy of the data in unknown. The features need to be verified with the Chatham County Public Works department prior to editing commencing within the ChathamGIS SQL database. Similar feature classes may exist within the ChathamGIS SQL database or within folders native to the Chatham County GIS architecture prior to February 2015. Specifically, the hydrant feature class within the addressing dataset of the ChathamGIS SQL database likely contains more accurate and up to date information. The recommendation for maintenance of this dataset moving forward would be to import data into respective feature classes within Esri's local government information model "WaterDistribution" dataset and for the data to be maintained by the Chatham County Public Works department moving forward.
