Point features representing Siler City addresses serviced by municipal sewer infrastructure. The data was provided in excel format from the Town of Siler City and geocoded against the enterprise GIS address point feature class to create the final output in February 2020. The data was requested as part of grant application process to determine an appropriate mailing list for possible owners of property with failing septic systems in the Rocky River watershed. Mapping addresses served by municipal sewer allowed GIS to remove those parcels from the mailing list. The data will also prove beneficial for future projects relating to municipal sewer service in, and around, the Town of Siler City. The data will be retained and will be updated on an as-needed basis by the Chatham County GIS department. Additionally, GIS will publish the data as a service to allow for its use within Chatham County web GIS applications, if needed.
