The contour data can be used in various applications throughout Chatham Counties' different departments and also serves as important layer in Chatham Counties' topographic basemap utilized in various web mapping applications.The contours were interpolated from the LiDAR elevation grid, which represents elevation at a 20-foot cell size with 1/10th of foot Z value accuracy. Expect small errors over open water or sound areas.
